My son uses Risperdal and Tenex. It helps, however we are concerned about long term side effects of Risperdal, since he has taken this drug since 4th grade. He tried to go off .5 mg last year and he became so angry it was scary. He went back on after 2 weeks and I don't think he has really been the same since. He is still having more problems than usual with anger management.

My son took the liquid solution back in 2003, after he increased he had side effects, now on Geodon for several years.

it caused insomnia, lessened motivation and intellectual sharpness, caused terrible sunburn, weight gain and overheating after . I hated giving it to him

This one seemed to work pretty good for me, I started takin it at the age of 12 and I didn't have as many mood shifts when I was on it

I loved it but it gave me inner restlessness.

It does help to calm her down. Can't wait too long when she gets upset before giving her this.

I wasn't told that this drug would make me gain weight. I am on a seesaw........possible better medicine and getting fat.

Works pretty well. I'm still very paranoid though,

My daughter is on it and it works. We are slowly weening her and she is starting to haulucinate again (Very slight)

Im currently taking this med i've found it to be a good stabilizer of mood. The side effects however are troubling for one Im always kind drained of energy
