Contantly researching and talking to others, going to groups and lectures. Our goal is to have him off the medicine as soon as he can be. He has had no side effects but I feel that we are just lucky....it could start bothering him at any time, or could be doing some damage we are not aware of. I am currently looking for an adult support group to join in our area. For my ADD, some of the most important things that I have learned have come from others with a similar diagnosis.

More I learn about it, the more I know how to deal with it, and more tricks and treatments I find out. Also helps to see the difference in brain functions, instead of constantly thinking "boy I must be stupid compared to others"

gotta rely on the internet for some things these days. we had my 5 year old to so may counselors and psychologists for his behavior. after some research i found that he had an addiction to sugar. i cut out all sugar and have monitored his diet alot closer. he is a changed kid. he is my tony and not the hyped up violent little man he used to be. he DID NOT need meds. thank God i didn't give into that.

I do read up on things and look online for information. This is helpful when I'm researching a specific thing, but I do find that it's easy to get sucked in and become overly concerned about things I needn't be concerned about. It is possible to do TOO much research.
