Not sure. The generic is Mirtazapine. I know it helps because I tried to go without it for 6 months and was a wreck OCD anxiety severe depression.

Very difficult the first time; the next day, you feel like... a marshmallow? I nearly lost my job because they thought I was high. I told my boss of my medical condition. He responded by alerting the whole staff in order to ridicule me, and then I was fired. Should've sued. After the medicine takes full effect (about a week, maybe two) my anxiety, when it was at its worst, kept me away from the panic attacks that stop your breathing and affect your sight.

The one tablet that worked. But the side effects were so horrendous Id rather not sleep. And for me to say that they were hell.

Im comfortable with this med helps to sleep.

Made me feel spaced out

Took in combination with Effexor. It was great. Pulled me right out of the depression.

Works extremly well for insomnia. I have been taking it since December of 2008 and it is safer than seroquel which I had been taking to sleep.

At present finding it very very difficult to wean myself off them.

Very good for sleep and helps stop panic at night when sleeping
