I use this during the day when I can't cut. It does help me until I can get home etc. And sometimes I am able to put off cutting for a while.

This helps sometimes but other times it doesn't make any difference at all.

The act of washing off the marks I created on my skin was incredibly therapeutic--as if I was washing away the stress, guilt, and fear associated with my scars. The real scars remain, however, which makes this treatment very bittersweet and can actually make me feel more depressed while in certain states of mind.
