My last blood work showed that my thyroid levels finally come down to normal (still high-end normal). But I still have tachycardia which my doctor says will eventually return to normal, as well. I will say that the radioactive iodine did have more side effects than my doctor prepped me for. I had a significant aching pain in my thyroid area for two weeks. I also had nausea for a few days. I think it was the safest treatment for me though, as surgery carried a risk for a thyroid storm.

The iodine worked! I had to have it, I was sick and very hyper, but now the iodine has distroyed my thyroid and I will have to remain on thyroid meds for the rest of my life.
