Working / Worked
Helps to keep swelling down on 10mgs twice daily
Working / Worked
So far it's the only thing working directly. Been trying to get off of it, but 10mg i might as well not even be taking it, but 20mg seems to keep me working. When i first started taking it, 40mg a day, my hands almost looked normal again. swelling WAY down. but that is way too much steroids, and not good.

major side effect is weight gain and emotional disturbances

It was part of the step down protocol after ending my Solumedrol treatment. It was 45 days. I went from 80 to 5mg daily. My side effects were euphoria and hyper activity.

I take it for a few days when i have a bad flare up. It seems to help.

Been on this. Was up to 30mg/day at one point. Moon face-- how I hated it! Eating was okay because I had lost a lot of weight by the time I was dx'd. Also sprouted a lot of hair that decided to stay after I was off the med. That sucks more than the moon-face, I think, since that at least went away.

Works great but the side effects, both short and long term, are awful.

I have had a lot of IV treatments with prednisone this year due to flare ups with my MG. Most recently on Sept 18 20 21 I had 500 mg which lasted until Oct 9th or so. I have taken 1 500mg IV three shots and 2 1000mg IVs since Oct 13 and it does not seem to be helping as weel as it has in the past.
Working / Worked
Works for bad flare ups but had bad skin and weight gain.
Working / Worked
Take it with every flare up, which is about once every six weeks. It takes 20-40 mgs to get it under control and sometimes it takes more.
