Take as needed when I get bad bad flares. Was having too many problems taking full time.

First few weeks on Prednisone I felt like I won the lottery! I was nearly pain-free for the first time in YEARS. But after a few weeks, the pain came creeping back. Started Leflunomide shortly after starting Pred and it seems to be helping...crossing fingers.

Have to boost dosage to 40mg and then wing back down to 10mg when breathing becomes difficult. Have been on continuous dosage for over six years.

Weight gain mood swings as a result of prednisone. Was a gym rat 34 times weekly before now up 20 lbs.
works but the side immediate effects are really hard (almost unbearable) and the long term side effects are frightening.
