It's a work in process...I even created a 'happy thoughts' page to post on my fridge--my husband and I add thoughts when they come to mind. I love reading it, it helps me to center myself and smile.

My family life was quite difficult growing up Dad was abusive in every form and my mother waseither adoor mat or very aggressive with him rather than leave him she stayed and had 1 child she protected over the other 3 which of course just enraged my father even more until he nearly killed her rather than worry about the children living in the home as my sister had the good sense to get out at 13 after many abusive beatings my mother went into a severe depression and neglected myself and my younger sister. Thats just the beginning!
