took in my younger yrs & then my docs changed it to ??? then seizures came back w/ a vengenance, (R-frontal lobe brain cyst + STRESS= increased seizure activity) SO, now i've been back on 30mg QID, + i have a seizure alert dog, he pretty much can tell approx 20min prior.to onset!
thank God, my seizures have went from 1-4 wkly down to approx 1-6 a year, depends on stress & other things.

Tried for awhile after initial diagnosis, but side effects impacted performance in school.
I was put on this medication again in 1993 after my diagnosis with Luekemia. Most anti-convulsants are bone marrow suppressants (not a good thing when fighting AML), pheno is not. Mainly it increased my as-yet undiagnosed chemical depression, at a majorly unhappy time. Was later told by new neurologist that it was all wrong for my type of seizure anyway!
