I have been on Paxil for about 10 years, playing around with the different dosages with a Dr's approval. It seems to be the only medicine that I respond to for Panic Disorder.

It worked for the period of time I needed it, but i eventually weened. It is sometime I have considered taking again when the panic becomes too much, but I try to manage through it without meds.

It didn't help me, though I know many it did help. I was on it for about 6 months then we re-looked the underlying reasons and switched to Ativan, which worked better for me.

I am not currently taking Paxil. I have no doctor at the moment and can't get my prescriptions refilled. Have been on it for years though.
