Working / Worked
I have and use the Forteo (1-34), artificial hpth hormone for emergency situations. It is quite a relief for me because it shuts down the cramps within 20-30 minutes and makes my calcium levels more stable. I have had no side effects and it works. It is costly and not to be used on a regular basis.

Been on it for about 30 years
Working / Worked
Extreme side effects of nausea, stomach pain, and, oddly enough, weight gain. Minimally helpful towards reducing calcium intake and therefore controlling excess production of kidney stones. Tried it twice for 1) 3 months, and 2) 6 months.
