I've been visiting the Pain Unit for 6 years now, and they are great, senting me all over the hospital to make sure everything possible is done for me. Only problem is I have to travel and hour by bus to get there. One bad thing is that my Pain Doctor wants me to come off the only medication that works with no substitute.

Been on narcotic pain meds for a few years for severe back problems not related to RA. Keeps some of the pain under control and takes the "edge" off only though. When I do finally get enough meds in my system I get really drousy.
