I opted to go on meds rather than have RAI or surgery... actually surgery was not a popular option when I was diagnosed. I had read everything I could get my hands on about Graves and was so afraid of getting eye involvement. Sadly, my eyes were affected and that probably was and is the hardest thing to deal with. I have had sugery to try to correct the damage but I still don't look like I used to. I bothers me every day of my life. I am trying to get on with life and stay positive.
