been on this since Oct 08 felt great for 2 weeks but been ill with flu like symptons and aching, but i think that is actually a bad cold. still gaining weight and now getting really depressed about it.

i was taking it with propranalol, I was too weak.The endo changed to Methimazole.

Caused signs of liver problems.

I was prescribed Methimazole first. I had an allergic reaction itching horribly. I also had severe heart burn. I was then placed on propylthiouracl

The biggest trouble was finding a good dose for me. Overall I feel MUCH better. And I haven't noticed any side effects.

My levels were improved by week 4. By week 10, they were in normal range.

Have been taking since I was 4 and it is nasty but it kept everything in line. regulated everything when I turned 14 years old. Had to start back taking it at 25 when I became pregnant. Only had a bitter taste in my mouth.

it appears to be working because i'm gaining weight again (blegh) and i'm noticing a decrease of my fine trembling. however the taste is awful and used to make me vomit the ptu back up every night. i've found a fool proof remedy to that though! just a small dollop of Nutella on the middle of my tongue after taking the meds and just suck on it a little while. it works WAY better than mouthwash to eliminate the bitterness.

I hate the bad taste it leaves in my mouth.
