I have been on program for 2 months and have lost 28 pounds. It is a completely different program than any of the MANY others I have tried. It isn't just a diet, although almost everyone who joins thinks it is when they arrive the first day. There are reasons each of us lives a life of food addiction. OA aids in complete recovery - not just weight loss, which actually becomes somewhat of a side effect to food addiction recovery. It is hard work, but the personal growth and development is amazing

I have been a member on and off for 19 years with varying degrees of success. I cannot find OA members like me. I have never been morbidly obese, but I have binged at night for years. Most successful members have been morbidly obese and have lost 100 lbs or more by restricting sugar and flour.
