Treatment and recovery was painful, but so far it seems effective.

Partial Nephrectomy on 4/1/09. Anxious for follow-up results.

10 months out from surgery and the films still look good but seem to have other problems now with constant pain below the incision area along with areas of numbness and weight that I can't seem to lose.

Still experiencing extreme pain and nausea of the right flank radiating over to the left flank. Have developed large bulge on right side from rib removal.

Radical nephrectomy 2/6/09

Done with the Davinci machine and was a little more painful than I anticipated. But am healing quickly and moving around good. Will be returning to work after only 2 wks off.

Husband had 5.5 cm clear cell tumor removed with left kidney 9/18/08. Laparascopic surgery went well. No other involvement. Stage 1b pathology. We were ecstatic and optimistic. Three month check up revealed several lung nodules ranging from less than 5mm to 1.5 cm. We are flaggergasted. Needle biopsy to be scheduled. Then I guess they will recommend treatment options. I want to go to Sloan Kettering for opinion. Can anyone relate to this situation?

Some abdominal pain for a few days but all in all, I feel pretty good.

I have no kidneys left due to kidney stones [that was the left kidney]however it was discovered i had renal cancer so they took my remaining kidney and i am now having chemo

Removed right kidney 12/16/08 and went home on 12/20/08. VERY PAINFUL. I sleep in a recliner and I am very weak and tired. I had the open procedure so my scar is about 10 inchs long.

It worked for 8 years. Now my remaining kidney is affected and it has metastesized to my lungs.

Had left kidney and adrenal gland as well as lymph node removed 11/17/08.
