This has by far been the best therapy for me. Nothing better than finding songs that match my mood, situation, struggles etc... Helps me feel I'm not alone!
I love DJing as it takes alot of concentration so keeps your mind occupied
Great for anxiety and emotional flashbacks. I fine tune my pandora account on my phone. I have emotional flashbacks doing dishes and this helps me get through getting the dishes done. Also, leaving the house is easier for the same reason even though not as safe since being aware of sounds around is good.
Music is always uplifting and makes me feel better.

I sing in choir, when I sing I do not get flashbacks. I still have to live with her, and share a room with her, so escape into music helps on a daily basis, keeping me strong enough to make it through a day.

Listening to great music and playing my saxophone both help me refocus myself and gain a sense of serenity without the negative effects of alcohol or other addictive behaviors.

Always! Used to play guitar and piano, sing, led worship for a church, and been at it since High School. Last few years have not played much. No energy, and, well, just feeling blah.
it always help me channel emotions

The right song, can get you through some really bad moments. Almost help you find answers sometimes.

I do find some words of healing in music, but it's not quit as effective as journaling, or speaking, but I do use it.
