First dx at 2 wks with a milk protein allergy- breast feeding colitus, in his case, as he was bleeding rectally from the milk products I had ingested. I can't tell you how it hurt me to know I had harmed my child, be it unwittingly. I alternated between nursing and Alimentum, a formula that costs as if it contains gold. As a result, he also developed chronic function constipation, requiring daily meds and the occasional enema, or trip to the ER, depending on my ability to remove the impaction. You haven't lived until you've held your child after a very painful procedure and he's screaming and looking at you as if to say "why did you let them hurt me?" Being a pediatric nurse doesn't make it any easier when the child in question is your own.
helped but bad cramping and nausea
Took a few days to work. Stools too soft. No longer taking.
It helps, but it does cause major bloating.
This was prescribed for me to take before it was available over the counter but like everything else that I have tried after taking it for a period of time it stopped working.
Worked the first few times, but not so much now
The problem with Miralax is it causes bloating and gas.
It worked for a bit, but I did not see much of a difference. For me, Benefiber has worked better.
