Methyldopa Reviews

Working / Worked
I have been on this since long before my heart attack. I have no complaints.
I was previously on Ramipril and Atenolol to control my hypertension but have switched to Methyldopa which is considered safe during pregnancy.
The Aldomet seems to be the only medicine that I have tried so far that keeps my BP down. I tried Lisinopril but my BP seemed to yo-yo alot and it make my heart race. The only drawbacks to the aldomet are: (1) It is a beta blocker, which I was told is not too good for kidney function, (2) It makes me sleepy, and (3) I have to take it three times a day.
Working / Worked
made me feel like zombie but lowered my blood pressure

I think this medication has worked best for my hypertension!
Working / Worked
Took about 3 weeks for my BP to come down which apparently is long for this medI also still have dizzyness upset stomach decreased appetite and feel sooo TIRED all the time.Working for now but I am definitly not happy with the side effects.
I take 250 mg 3x's daily. This is for my high blood pressure
I was given this so I could get pregnant without worrying about a blood pressure medicine that could effect the pregnacy.
Somewhat Helpful
