haven't had a flare in 4+ yrs. Had to come off last year for about four months due to surgery.

Started Methotrexate in August 09, using Enbrel since June O9. I started feeling good again after two months on Methotrexate. I think it is working. Only side effect is dry eyes.

Bad experience with Methotrexate severe itchy blistery rash although the once weekly treatment was convenient and along with 7.5 mg of prednisone daily really helped me feel better fairly quickly with Lupusa few weeks into treatment i am being switched to Immuran now since it works for both disordersdiseases

So far no side effects but my doctor has lowered me to 4 once weekly and I seem to have a little more pain now than I did when I was on 5 or more a week

it looks like it is working although her liver enzymes are high so we are off of it at the moment for two weeks. I hate giving her the shots and she hates having the shots so much that she throws up at the though before during and after. SHe is taking 80cc of it once a week.
