Methimazole is a drug used to treat hyperthyroidism, a condition that usually occurs when the thyroid gland is producing too much thyroid hormone. It is also taken before thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine therapy, to lower thyroid hormone levels and minimize the effects of thyroid manipulation. more at Wikipedia

Methimazole Reviews
Working / Worked
Taking 10 MG once a day now. I was taking it twice a day but my doctor says my levels are normal.
Working / Worked
It has been working for me but the dosage seems to be tricky. At first I was prescribed with 15 mg, and almost immediately I started having severe muscle pains and other symptoms related to hypothyroidism. Eventually, my dosage was lowered to 5mg, and my thyroid level returned to normal.
Working / Worked
Seems to be working, though my dose need to be adjusted frequently (7.5-15 mg). No major side effects, except for some weight gain (but still haven't figured out what my "healthy" weight is).
Working / Worked
only been on it 6 weeks

Working / Worked
I like it; it works well for me and I haven't ever had any side effects.
Working / Worked
To say that Methimazole is a lifesaver for me is an understatement. Within a week of taking it, it was like a miracle medicine for my thyroid issues.
Working / Worked
It has decreased most of my symptoms. Still having trouble sleeping and heat intolerance
