Been using for 6 years as a combination heroin detoxpain management. started on the heroin for pain. had supply of known purity . Clinically methadone according to pain specialists I know anecdotally is more effective for neuralgic pain than the other opiates. Plus the long halflife makes dosing a little easier and a little easier to avoid slipping and starting to use irresponsibly

I know Methadone is just another form of opiates but without it I would be on the streets living the same cycle I was I would just be using heroin instead. I truly owe my life to methadone because prior to the treatment I suffered from an O.D. which left me dead for about 20 min. The doctors all said I was supposed to be brain dead a vegetable not able to do things for myself because of how long I was out for. But by the grace of GD Im here today.

are you kidding me????? NEVER WORKED. I gave it a whole month. My 'new' dr. FORCED me on it after I told him to change my meds. He said oh - do Methadone, it will work fine. Well, he refused to change my meds to ANYTHING unless I tried it for 1 month. I ended up in the emergency room 2x w/ a 4K bill. Filed a grievence w/ my Insurance & w/ the Dept. of Insurance here in CAL. Got a dr. that listened to me and actually ordered MRIs & read my old ones. The other Dr. NEVER read or ordered new films

I stopped taking this a few years ago. It kind of snuck up on me after a year. I think I ended up spending nearly a year in bed on this stuff.
