Metformin Reviews

Working / Worked
1000 mg 2 times a day, works well and helps me loose weight too.
Helpful in controlling side effects, to an extent.
Working / Worked
Helped with the blood sugar, but gave me bad diarrhea. I switched to a time released one, but it gave me the opposite problem. I went back to the original prescription and am taking probiotics to help with the diarrhea. So far, so good.
I am taking it for Diabetes, but seeing if it will do something for the PCOS. Nothing so far.
Working / Worked
Have been on medication for a few months, doctor is happy with results. Sometimes causes upset stomach, or diarrhea, but after continued use it seems to be much better.
It worked, and then all of a sudden, I started having extreme lower right abdominal pain(October 30). I had an ovarian ultrasound in November, but came back negative for a cyst. I am still experiencing the pain. I get tired easily and fatigued a lot. Putting an ice pack on my abdomen soothes the pain. I have been taking 1 naproxen (500mg) and 1 ibuprofen (200 mg) since mid-December.
I am very lucky it works for me because I know for many women it does not. They have nothing else at this time to prescribe for it.
I first started on Metformin, and I caused me to lose a lot of weight and made it easier for me to control my eating. However, I also made me have two periods a month.
Working / Worked
I used for 1 year and 1 mo.
the original made me sick but the extended release is much better and took care of that problem.
