The long-term, (overnight) dose gives him real stomach problems. He can literally feel the meds working as his muscles twitch. Sometimes the meds work better than other times. This is the only med he has been on.

The only side effect that I have with the Mestiton is that it makes me a little hungry and it makes me use the bathroom. Other than that this medication is very good for me.

So far so good, however I'm having a reaction when I consume alcohol. I get flushed, my chest gets tight.. I have trouble breathing and my heart races.

Rely on Mestinon. Started taking 4 (60mg tablets) per day when first diagnosed. I'm now up to 6 per day. No side effects I can determine but I sure notice if I miss a dose.
