Mestinon was like the magic pill I dreamt of at first. The problem is that my MG kept progressing and it wasn't good enough after a while. I take 60 mg every 3 hours and I also take 180 mg of Mestinon timespan before bed because it got so bad for a while that I had trouble dressing myself in the morning. With the Timespan, it was still active when I woke up. Now that I'm on Prednisone, I think I could get away without taking the Timespan, but I would rather get off the prednisone first.

For me it has helped 80% as long as I know my limits & rest when needed...So I no longer try to clean the house all in one day LOL...

Mestinon is helping control the weekness I would normally feel if I did not take it . I am currently taking 60mg four times a day. If I miss a dose, I start to feel the side effects of slugness .

I have been reduced on Ms from 4 tabs/ day to one/day; and from 60mg of Pr to 35mg of Pr. every other day.
Still do not know what is doing the best for me. Feel pretty good, but get boils especially around my mouth. They show up in the morning, last several days and then go away.
