I get anxiety and panic attacks on a daily basis. If i can predict the emotions that preceed these attacks I find meditation a very usefull tool to have.

The facility that I attended would post workshops for patients I signed up for YOGA okayl mind you it was not the type that you turn yourself into a pretzal it was 100 minor streching and healing from inside out. Give it a shot I did and it really made me feel good. While you are going through rough time you have got to put yourself first. You need time to take care of yourself.

Works a little bit to relax and clear my head in that moment, but I tend to be overwhelmed by thoughts immediately after meditation is over.
