If this means prayer then THAT works! Sometimes Im completely released from pain for a time and I find out someone has been praying for me. Other times prayer keeps me focused on God and not myself and it also helps me to think about other people and focus on their needs a great distraction from pain.

I use commercial Relaxation tapes as well as meditative prayer. Boy does that prayer work!
