We've been working on trying to get her to talk about her feelings more. When she gets in trouble, I try to talk about it with her, and it's hard sometimes because she only sees that she's in trouble, and she tends to shut down and not talk.

After a meltdown with my son, I give him a time out in his room so he can calm down (and sometimes me also) then I will go in and sit and camly discuss the situation with him.
