My kids are talkers. A little bit of daily one-on-one time with me, where I mostly listen, seems to make them feel at ease.

I try to listen to my daughter a lot more, I'm doing my best to take time out to actually talk to her about her day or even if she just wants to tell me a story.

I always know how my son is feeling and what is going on in his school, day etc. and have been able to advocate for him if necessary.
