10 years ago, my pap came back bad and I got a biopsy which showed pre-cancerous cells in cervix. I had cryotherapy which froze the bad cells and my paps came back fine after that for 10+ years now. I had a bit of cramping after cryo, but nothing serious and/or horrible.
