Son takes 2 per day for maintenance. 4 per day when flaring.
no side effects, but it isn't/hasn't really worked for me.
My pcp prescribed this while we were still doing the preliminary workup and referring me to my GI doc. It helped a little while I was on it--at least, it controlled some bathroom necessities.
This is currently working for me but I have had to work through some of the side effects. It tends to cause stomach pain especially if taken without enough food on your stomach.
Currently taking 3 pills in the AM. Been taking Lialda since December 2008. Mostly works, but still have minimal symptoms.
Has been very effective for over 6 months. One small flare up!
It worked with no bad side-effects and I'm still on it.

No side effects- its hard to tell how much it helps. I stopped taking it and I felt a little worse- so I am continuing to take it daily.
I have been taking this for about 1 year, who knows if it works I keep having flare-ups
