For my first year as a diabetic, I used direct injections of Lantus every night. It helped keep my levels in check, and I could tell a difference if I didn't get it in my system.

I have been using Lantus along with Humalog for about 6 years. It has worked very well for me and I have had very few lows.

I take 64 units in the a.m. and 70 at night. I think that this is too much because I have very bad night sweats.

It alows me to take one less shot a day,but you can get pretty messed up if you forget to take it
