I was on Lamictal for 6 months and it helped immensely with my angry outbursts and irritation. I switched to the generic brand 1 month and 2 weeks ago and its been a disaster. Ive gone back to feeling the way I did before I took anything at all: irritable, no patience and becoming angry easily. ALSO Ive been having very sharp pains in my abdomen for about a week which could be completely unrelated but I had several tests and nothing was found.

It was working great until my Spinal Atrophy Disease progressed. The Doctor uped it twice and it still isn't very good. It's better but not totally controled.

the best for me so far. it was the first think i was prescribed to deal with bipolar and it really helped me stay together. i went non-compliant though and my life went to *@!& so i'm back on it now and i don't know if it's doing much good yet. i'm cycling and that scares me, but i'm hoping i'll level out and it'll be an effective treatment for me in the long run.
