I used to take Sodium chromoglicate, Intal, for allergy asthma, dust mites, feathers, I was free of chest infections for 10 years. I stopped it to try homoeopathy; chest infections returned. I had 2 severe chest infections with influenza viruses over a few years. I was put on seretide. This helped but my condition only improved after using intal as well. Intal stopped being made in the uk. I now use Nedocromil sodium,Tilade, which seems to work as well as Intal.

I always have my emergancy inhaler with me at all times. I use Albutirol and it works very well and very quickly, with me side effects. I do not use a full dose at a time though, due to a minor heart condition.
