He can do most things on his own such as brushing his own teeth wash his own hair picks up his mess's dress' himself etc... Gives him purpose and makes him feel like he has accomplished something which is great!!
life skills is the most important thing to learn
We just gave him chores to do with us making a game out of the things we did. He now can put away his own clothes, put away the dishes, vaccuum, brush his teeth, comb his hair and he puts on deorderant and laughs about it.
Even though my son is young everyday health and life skills are very important.

we need more help with learning every day skills dressing teeth brushing
THey do this at his school, and he seems to enjoy it on the whole. Too bad neither of my parents really make him do anything at home. Dad doesnt believe hes capable, and mom just doesnt want to push his limits. (So then whenever I try to do something, he gets mad because of the inconsistency and his own spoiled-laziness. FRUSTRATING!!!)

She attends a workshop five days a week. Helpful.

I guess we didn't treat him any differently to anyone else, just gave him more time and patience.
Working / Worked
He's dresses independently, etc., but continue to work on things like what to do if you get lost.
Bruce is currently a sophomore in high school and is in community based instruciton classes. We are hoping one day he will live independently on his own.
