Working on these heartily at home and at school. My son is able to do many things independently these days...including getting himself ready for school each school day! He needs help now to learn more "executive functioning skills"
We work on this daily in home schooling.
I can live on my own. I go to college where they have special programs for handy-capped students (I am not handy-capped though!), I have a job in childcare, I am in a relationship, and I have dogs I take good of. I do all my own grocery shopping and cooking. I clean up my own house. I can't drive though which I hate

We are still working on those.
Must have a specific order and regular schedule to get this to work initially. I put up a list with Pictures next to his bathroom mirror in the morning, and at the front door. Every task had step by step instructions with pictures, and now we can just put the words up. Patience and repetition are key here.

We have daily living skills staff that come here every day to help out with things like cooking, cleaning, community support.
Work in progress. He is now much more independent. He is learning to cook under supervision some tasty dishes. He makes his own breakfast and lunch 50%, without supervision. He still needs to learn to initiate self care skills without prompting or reminding.
