Working / Worked
I usually get these every two weeks. I almost feel normal with these.
It seems to be helping but running out since 2.5 weeks after the first transfusion I'm seeing a slight decline. The only side effects I've had are minor nausea 2 hours after completion and some pain for 4 days after in the vessel used for the transfusion. Mine is Privigen 50g in 500mL just under 1g/kg given over 6 hours on one day once monthly.
I am very thankful to all the blood donors out there. Thanks for your generosity and for taking the time and effort to make this generous contribution.

I got this done a couple of times when i wasn't doing so well and i showed improvement but i was also taking the imuran.
I have had six courses of IVIG in total, starting last fall when I relapsed. I haven't had a treatment since this past January.
It worked super well and fast! I started noticing a difference within a couple weeks, which was miraculous to me considering all the other drugs took so much time to work.
I had some not-fun infusion reactions; fevers, headaches, chest pain, and nausea - but taking naproxen, Tylenol and gravol prior to, during, and after the infusions helped.
IVIG worked rapidly but she has been left with periods of severe PN in lower legs and severe fatigue. Each episode lasts longer than the last.

Last Nov I tried to get off prednisone. After about three weeks my symptoms returned. My Dr sent me for five days worth of IVIG. By the end of the treatment I was back to being able to talk and swallow again. I feel that this treatment helped.
