Dilaudid for treatment of Peripheral Neuropathy pain review;
I love it. It is predictable, fast acting, and has little or no surprises. I take the 4mg tables and half them with 2mg about every hour and a half if I have to out and about and for exercise purposes. Some of the other meds U have such as neurontin will "space me out." The problem is that with that med and like Lyrica, I never seem to know what I am going to get. Is it going to help the pain level today and is it going to space meout to the point of "not going out today!!" I like the functionality of dilaudid!! I hate all the damn pills, but I hate the pain worse..much worse.

Originally prescribed during my time with liver disease to treat the overwhelming pain of an overworked failing gallbladder and frequent gallstones. While hospitalized injections of 2mg every 4 hours provided outstanding breakthrough pain relief. Also took 2mg oral tablets offset by 2 hrs from intravenous injections for balanced pain relief. The combination of the two after liver transplant surgery was very effective in providing pain relief. Currently still taking 2mg pills orally.

I love this stuff! It's like the only thing that helps with my pain. And even though it usually only helps a little bit, I still love it. But I can't tolerate it in pill form, so I can only get it by IV when I'm in the hospital. :(
