I was usually forced into the hospital because of cutting and dealing with suicidal tendencies. It was horrible in many places, but it helped having input from SOME doctors, if they weren't quacks and pill pushers. I just hope I don't have to go back any time soon. I've been hospitalized 6 times.

I was hospitalized 6 times and many of them involved cutting. It sort of helped...I guess. I got more input from different doctors, but the experiences there were just miserable. But there were good times too. It has helped me in a threatening way. I know SI is not a healthy way to solve issues, but the main thing that keeps me from doing it now is so I don't continue to be hospitalized.

Made me sick, unhappy, and did nothing but make me gain five or ten pounds by IV. Suppose that was good and necessary. Nurses were sometimes cold and triggering. It was a temporary "fix."
Second stay saved my life, but still was a temporary fix, and I ended up with HORRID edema in my legs because the nurses did nothing to stop it (had four bags of IV liquids- K, Mag, Phos, and lipids+sugars) going 24/7. Ended up gaining 15+ pounds in LIQUID WEIGHT due to this.

I was in hospital for a month during march and it was helpful in that it stopped me from killing myself but apart from that didn't really do much for me.
