Heparin time was while in the hospital. I was too doped up to know what was going on. It successfully raised my INR.

Working / Worked
Started initially in ER prior to t-PA treatment
Working / Worked
Took heparin injections in the abdomen and then intravenously only while hospitalized.
Emergency Heparin injections after 1st and 2nd DVTs.
Busted up the clot upon catherization and combining it with something called TPA.
Working / Worked
Worked well along with TPA to completely bust up the clot in my leg.

I was on a Heparin IV at first in the hospital. A few days later they took me off the Heparin IV & started the Coumadin regimen. I remained in the hospital until my INR was between 2.0 - 3.0 which was the safe zone. I was told not to take my BC the first night. That resulted in my mens to begin in the hospital which it was extremely heavy and painful cramps like before I was taking BC pills. It wasn't a good experience.
