They do work, but I have pain every day. I don't think the pain's from the rods, but from the damage my spine had already caused. I am to feel this pain for the rest of my life.

It has worked but there is pain...i didnt have pain before...oh well part of life

I have had no problems since the surgery I had in 1984, other than occasional stiffness and soreness if I don't get to lay down at night (i.e., red eye night flight, etc.). I gave birth to a beautiful daughter in 1996 with no problems.

It did work, but it's been 43 years since the second surgery, and now my discs below the fusion are severly degenerated.

I have had it since i was 5 I am 28 know.

It has been 7 years now and it seems like yesterday. I dont really know what life is like without rods in my back. The only sideaffects I exeperience is pain, however, no where near he pain that I would have had not going through the surgery. Any questions..please ask!!!

My curves increased from 45 to 54 degrees in the 6 weeks from schedule date to surgery date. That was 21 years ago. No real troubles with it.

i had a 59 degree curve and they got it to 9 degrees. it went soo well and i was healed in like 1 month :)

When i was 13 i had an operation to fuse my spine and have the harrington rods

Its been just over 5 yrs since my surgery. i have my limitations but it helped out a lot.
