They do work, but I have pain every day. I don't think the pain's from the rods, but from the damage my spine had already caused. I am to feel this pain for the rest of my life.

I have had no problems since the surgery I had in 1984, other than occasional stiffness and soreness if I don't get to lay down at night (i.e., red eye night flight, etc.). I gave birth to a beautiful daughter in 1996 with no problems.

It has been 7 years now and it seems like yesterday. I dont really know what life is like without rods in my back. The only sideaffects I exeperience is pain, however, no where near he pain that I would have had not going through the surgery. Any questions..please ask!!!
