Yes it correct the curve in my spine and gave me another inch or so in height. But my should blade is still dislocated as at the time the surgeon felt it was 'just cosmetic' and so left it.

Keeping my weight down and swimming

After 2 back ops, 2 Harrington rods and a couple of fusions later, my spinal curvature has remained stable for some years now.

My curvature was corrected in March of 1994, though my spine still has a signifigant curve. I was allowed to resume normal activity, and was doing well until May of 2007. I began to experience severe pain in my lower back and right hip, which quickly became demobilizing and unbearable.

Had surgery during the summer of '09. I got two rods put in and a year later I am having no problems with my scoliosis.

Had surgery for severe double curve. Had surgery at age 39. Have done well, work full time but did have to change jobs. Have some pain all the time, some days worse than others. Having problem with a hook that is loose in top of spine, causing severe pain and muscle spasm.

Lets just say i had almost 30 good years before i started having problems. I'm fused all the way down to L4. Now i have dealing with issues that took years to come to fruition.

Had 3 rods put in originally. 2 of them were removed when I was 15 due to an infection in my spine. I still have a lumbar rod in place. Supposedly it's still working.

worked depending on how you look at it.im not in a wheelchair or severely twisted. lead a fairly normal life.physically. long legs and a short torso were my side effects.. im 4 11 instead of 5 4...
