find Grief Counseling helpful

Grief Counseling Reviews
Working / Worked
Yes, it helps to talk to others and share experiences.

Used the Grief Recovery Handbook from the Grief Recovery Institute. Found that to be the most helpful of any of the psych/counselling activities.

Going to grief counseling has been good for me. Most of my family members are dead, except for my children. I have also know at least 12 people who have committed suicide. For that, where I live ther is also grief counseling for suicides. The bereavement groups can be painful at the time; but they have been the best way for me to begin the healing. I encourage anyone to use this resource.

My husband and I have been going to counseling together once a week. I feel like it helps us get our feelings out in the open. Also, sometimes, we might say things during the counseling sessions that we might not have said under other circumstances. The counselor helps us to analyze our emotions. I cry every session, but it definitely helps me to feel better.

I have received a tremendous amount of support.

I found the hospice group I joined in after my husband died was most enlightening, comforting, open, honest and very helpful. Everyone there had a different story and we were all very much engaged in all discussions.
