The medicine is working so far.
Lots of drugs intially my wbc was over 250,000. Started with 400 mg of Gleevac now on 600 mg after a year my PCR went up. Experiencing more side effects now .
All i know is that she is taking this and thats at the current time it is working?
Holding the leukemia at bay. Side effects are severe bone and joint pain, constant exhaustion, nausea etc. I am on about 6 drugs to try to control the side effects.
Started on Gleevec 400 a day then 800 a day now 600 a day.
The Gleevec seems to be working but I am developing cognative disfunction, pain in joints, and chronic fatigue. Now I am having kidney trouble.
I had swelling around my face, rashes on my arms & some on my legs. My doctor recommends i stay on 400m for now.
Slowly winged onto it, caused nausea, hair loss and depression, but it helped get her counts down
Nausea, vomitting, Exhaustion, but blood count is great
have always gotten my wbc down to normal
