after 2 weeks wbc was normal. Side effects are not so great but still only in 3rd week of treatment
Difficult side affects severe muscle cramps and spasms, swollen ankles ets. i CAN GO AND ON but medicine is working thank God for that.
5 1/2 months into treatment, seem to be doing well, although red cell count is low and I just received an injection to stimulate the count. Puffy eyes seem to be the most difficult side effect but fatigue is an ongoing problem.
I was diagnosed in 2004. a I am doing very well. Busy taking care of three young boys and a loving husband
WBC count went down quickly, but overshot the target after three weeks. All blood counts went down below normal. Dr took me off G at one month for 3 weeks then back at 400mg. Counts have remained low but hovering at acceptable level. Side effects getting easier with time.
Extremely positive. Mild to moderate side-effects.
Its working so far...but alot of side affects
I started Hydroxurea 6-23-09 and stopped 7-8-09- -started Gleevec on 7-7-09
As of 7-23-09 my wbc has come down to 8000 on Gleevec 400 (5 pints of blood and 2 platelets helped)
I have been on gleevic since 2/1/09
I was diagnosed with CML in June 2005 and since then I have been taking Gleevec with good results. My only problem is with my Anemia
