I had the gamma knife when my tumor recurred while I was 21 y/o getting my undergraduate degree. It seemed to have been effective until the tumor recurred 4 years later.

I am claustrophobic so the expereince was a litlle rugged. I think I had PSTD for a few weeks after just kind of freaked out about having screws in my skull. I am sad it has not worked

I had the Gamma Knife procedure on June 30, 2010. I suppose it worked, or at least that's what I want to believe! I was nauseous afterwards, but it wasn't anything some Sprite and crackers couldn't fix :)

Helped for a few months then pain started slowly coming back. It made me have bad vertigo where I actually fell down some stairs. Headache as well as the huge swollen eye from the head immobilizer for the treatment phase.

I believe the second time with the Gamma Knife was good. I currently am having NO pain after going thru the worst week I have ever had up to the day of the procedure. I currently take 2 Keppra tablets daily until I see my Neuro 7/22/09.
