took last year, worked fine, no side effects.

It works until I'm not taking it anymore and then the symptoms come back.

My doctors added this to my Cipro. I guess its working since they released me.

14 months ago I had C-Diff from an anitibiotiic that killed all good flora and I was on this for a couple courses, but with my current chronic diarrhea of 5 1/2 months, no organisms/parasites, etc. have been found on multiple tests....so many diagnostic tests that Medicare is forcing me to make Appeals in order to get them covered...talk about needing healthcare reform!

Given via IV and then tablets during worst flare-ups in conjunction with IV and tablet form steroids (prednisolone).

It always works but it makes me sick...literally, I get nauseated and it gives me headaches.
Usually this is given to me with Cipro....Ciprofloxa..blah blah..I can never remember the full name. lol

Worked for a long time but I stopped responding after long term use.
Side Effect: Bowel activity slowed. Bloating.

Took for several months. Definately helps. Would consider starting this drug immediately upon a major flare-up in the attempt to avoid a long course of steriods. I didn't have any side effects that I am aware of. The pill is bitter and hard to swallow.
