This did help, but only once the dosage was accelerated to the highest patch and strongest dosage. The reason for discontinuation, is that being summer, it was to complicated in keeping cool; very dangerous when temp climbed from the Southern Summers.

I had a lot of bone pain after treatment and I have radiationinduced neuropathy so i was give so many different pain killers most of which made me deathly ill. Fentanyl patch was a life send however it made me awfully sleepy. I was able to stop taking it a few months ago. I was so worried about being addicted but I was on it for five years and all I had to do was not put the patch on. I was so relieved.

Been on 1 patch changed q48h. Dose had increased to 75mcg/hr with 3-10/325 Percs for breakthrough. Now back down to 12mcg/q48h and rarely 1/2 Perc. This is the best treatment I was able to find. Thankfully, after four years, my pain is decreasing, but still present. I hope to be off all narcs by end of summer.
Update: I've been off of Fentanyl for 2 weeks now. Backpain is a bit worse without it. Getting by on 3 10/325 a day Percocets.

I hate extended release pain meds. I want them out of my system as soon as possible, so my vessel doesn't get dependent. People, never take pain meds consecutively... if you can grind through the pain a bit.ANY EXTENDED RELEASE OPIATES ,,WILL MAKE YOU GO THROUGH THE SAME WITHDRAWALS AS A HEROIN ADDICT!!!!!!!!!!!
