Wow! I was hesitant having my husband try this drug, due to side effects, but WOW! It's like a lightswitch was turned on. He is so much more connected to reality and the compulsive type behaviours ie dressing/undressing,has been reduced about 95%.
Now I am wondering if all this was in MY head.
Working / Worked
He vomited when he took it
we discontinued

I really don't know. He's been taking the medicine since before he moved in with us.

Previously Exelon was given in combination with Aricept prescribed during hospitalization. This proved to be an oversight and since Aricept was discontinued the treatment is entirely satisfactory.

Papa had been using a patch for about 3 plus months and I see a change in his conversations. Not as depressed with repetitive as before. 2 days ago dosage was increased to a 9.5 mg daily patch. As of 3--6-08 Papa has improved greatly! Eating, remembers things, alert, no depression!
Working / Worked
OK so far
Somewhat Helpful
Could not tolerate the pills due to GI upset. Could not tolerate the patch because the adhesive gave her blisters.
