ECT was my last option. I was so depressed and the meds just werent helping. This (ECT)saved my life. I have some short term memory loss, and it is frustrating. But the relief I have gotten is worth it. It requires commitment and time, and at first is a little scary, but you dont feel anything, you go to sleep for the whole thing.
