Helps me get to sleep faster than the Trazadone did. I was on Trazadone for many many years.

This helps me sleep! It makes me slightly drowsy in the morning, but it's not nearly as bad as Lunesta had been.

I take this at bedtime to help me sleep. It was recently increased to 25mg. by my rheumatologist.

Felt hung over

Had lost nearly 30 lbs. as I could not eat. Doctor tried me on Tagamet and other medications - nothing worked. Had horrible headaches, couldn't sleep or eat for about 4 months. Was going downhill fast. He checked me for pressure points and did a lot of tests (for MS, Lyme disease, etc), then put me on amitriptyline so I could sleep. It worked great - finally started to feel better in about a week. Stayed on it for a year, then weaned off it. Dr. knew I had fibro, but he never told me :-(

Low dose. Helps with sleep mood and pain. No side effects.

Have been on this for many years. It helps thank goodness but side effects constantly tired.
